Yay, for you if you've come from my other blog (Free-4-Ever) where I have a Whopping Blogaversary Candy going on...............
............so now that you're here, I bet you are wondering what my big mistake was right!?
Well, I made this card for the Totally Tilda DT to use acetate or make a window of some sort. Well, WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A CHALLENGE LIKE THAT COMING UP!! Duh! So I thought I could save it for my other DT , but we are only allowed to use DIGIS for that one! OMGOSH! What's a girl to do???
Post it!
Ta da!
Luckily over at the Magnolia-licous Hilightes blog their challenge this month is a recipe of "using a frame, using bling/pearls, using ribbon/trim & using a Magnolia image".
I think this card would be best as a birthday card. Perhaps with the sentiment "I hope you have a swimmingly good birthday". Oh HEY< it's my daughters birthday next month & she is a fish in the water! There you go, I got meself a birthday card! Phew! On that note I think I'll enter this into the Magnolia challenge at All That Scraps.
Here's a few details about my card. The Cherish charm is a Tim Holtz beauty I picked up at Hobby Lobby last November. The homemade flower with the pearl center is from a blogging buddy of mine, Stacie! Thank You.....it fits perfectly here! I heat embossed some swirls from a CTMH set, with clear embossing powder. I used my friends copics to create a blue hue around Tilda that I learned from Dana (with the help of her handy video(s)-PS- I need to get more copics! ), then I added some spots & dots for effect. I also added a bit of frosted glitter to her suit & tail & some dew drops as bubbles!
There are also a few more challenges out there I realized I could enter my little mer-Tilda into. At Crafts & Me Challenge they are "Under the Sea", at Just Magnolia & hAnglar stAnglar it is "anything goes with glitter", at Fun with Shapes & More they want "birthdays" & at It's A Magnolia Challenge they want to "anything with a Magnolia image".
AKA- Wheeza
PS- Don't forget about the challenge at Let's Ink It Up (where we want to see STAMPED IMAGES not digis) & also where the challenge is embossing!!! See you there.
Fab card and I bet your daughter will love it, see another happy accident that was meant to be.
