Anything but a Card @ Midweek Magnolias

Welcome Welcome to another fantastic week here at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  challenge! We've got , as my title says.............a theme that is ...........

ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

OH , but wow, you must pop over to the challenge blog to see what we've come up with! Come meet the new DT members and drool over all of the creations! We all came up with something different and it wasn't even planned! LOL 

I made a picture frame with three Tilda's! 

I had a little girl in mind, a specific little girl who hasn't met the world yet.........she should be born any day now. Thought this picture frame would be perfect for a cute baby picture!

I got the frame & a bunch of others at Micheals for a dollar! Yup a dollar each! OMG! 

I painted it with multiple colors of acrylic paints & used many different ribbons from both Really Reasonable Ribbons and The Ribbon Carousel! The leafy flourish is a Cherry Lynn Designs freebie I got from some online store when I made a purchase! Pearly stamens are from Bizzy Becs and flowers are from I am Roses!

Anything goes at Midweek Magnolias

HELLO and WELCOME to another week here at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge!!! 

Yup, you guessed it, I'm late!! But not by much!! 

But oh it is soooooooooooo worth the wait! LOL

Because not only do we have a theme that makes everyone happy, but I also used a couple of my newest stamps.....and that makes ME happy!! 

It's ANYTHING GOES week here at the Midweek Magnolia challenge!! 

ANYTHING AT ALL. 

Make it big, make is small...make it shimmer, make it tall!?>!! (I just made that up, pretty good hey). 

Colored with copics from my fave online store Oozak,com, this little Pearl Tilda & Oyster with Pearl are also from Oozak!!!! I added some seashell type buttons from my stash and some of my favorite flowers from I am Roses.  And of course, can't forget the cheesecloth and Magnolia papers! 

You want to make sure you are following the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge blog because we will be announcing the new DT members on the 10th!! Oh the excitement!! That means more lovely crafters to add to this fantastic lineup!!!

My first CLP card- May Sketch!!

Guess what...........this is my first month posting for the CLP Sketch challenges. 

I am so honored & humbled to be amungst such talented ladies! 

Thanks Chelsea for giving me this opportunity. 

The Sketch this month, goes something like this! 

To celebrate, I have candy at the top of my blog for anyone who is interested! 

When I first saw this Tilda in the Prince & Princesses Collection, I knew I had to have her! 

This is Princess Party Tilda.......I adore her and her lil stance! 

I colored her with copics and painted up around her with crackle paint, as well as the edges of the distressed papers. Bigger flowers are from I Am Roses! I am addicted to I Am Roses! LOL I also used some WOC flowers and my MS leaf punch. Then there's my MS butterfly punch for the wee ones you see here!

G'day my fellow blogger friends! Today is "hump day" and that means it's time for another MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  challenge!!

OMG!! That's right!
It's an open challenge!
So what have i done!?!
OH BOY!
I've gone an altered a Fruitsations box (there were a ton of fruit flavored gummies in this box at one time) lol....& I've turned it into a donation box for our Village Green Playstructure fund. Where we go to raise awareness about the Playstructure and the need to have a new one at our local park, this box comes too!

 I have used a TON of Magnolias on here, so I am not even going to attempt to name them all.

I have also placed some Maggies on the sides too!!

Midweek Magnolias Week 6 underway

Yay!! So happy to see more people finding out MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge in blogland! If you haven't checked us out yet, you simply much head over and take a look!

MILESTONE BIRTHDAY

Be it a 13th or 18th birthday, 21st, 40th, 50th, 80th, or 100th......

I have gone with a 16th birthday! For my niece who turns 16 this June! How exciting! OMG I'm so old! LOL

I used Congratulations Tilda from Magnolialicious . I colored her with some of my brand spankin' new copics from Oozak (OMG did you see they have a challenge blog now)!!! EEEK! 

I placed her atop of some shiny happy yellow cardstock but did not want to hide it with other papers so stuck to a doily background.

Midweek Magnolias Week #4

Hello all you Magnolia fans! 

Welcome to yet another MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  challenge! 

I'd like to start by saying congrats to the winner and Magnolia Marvels from last challenge! Some really wonderful creations out here in blogland! Some real incredible inspiration! 

Speaking of which, I am here to hopefully inspire you to try out next challenge which is another fabby sketch! 

So for my card today, I've used Gymnastics Tilda from the Winner Takes All Collection. I bought this Tilda specifically because my daughter is in gymnastics {however may not be continuing after this year due to a shortage of coaches : (  }. My sentiment "FUN" is a chipboard piece and the ribbon attached to it is recycled from a creation sent to me by a fellow blogger! I love to recycle rather than discard! 

My other sentiment is an acetate type paper word from a collection i bought ages ago. 

I embossed the pink paper behind Tilda with swirls.

Midweek Magnolias #3

A little update- The pancake breakfast fundraiser that we did for the Village Green Playstructure brought in $1800.00 (Canadian). It was so fun. The weather was great! My daughter and a couple other kids that were there were jumping up & down outside advertising it! Here's a snapshot! 

My daughter is in the green hat! 

And a couple of our volunteers! Thanks guys. In case your wondering, that is in fact Roberta (in the black) from PRAIRIE FAIRY DESIGNS! 

ONTO OUR CHALLENGE: 

I just love how more and more people each week, come and find our challenge! 

What a great feeling, and it's not just because of us, it's because of all of you, making creations and playing along with our challenge!! Thanks so much!! 

Speaking of which, let's get to this weeks theme over at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge, shall we:

Maybe you think I'm a bit sneaky here, but truly there is only 1 ribbon used......however I DID use it 3 times! Sneaky I know! My pearls are in the ribbon center and in the center of my 3 layered flowers. I sprinkled some purple tinted confetti to the butterfly edge. 

This is yet another butterfly shape for the wall hanging that is SLOWLY coming together for my daughter's room! Forgive me,I don't even know what the name of this Tilda is!!?>

Can you tell I'm trying to work on my light source coloring! Tricky, I tell ya! 

PS- the Let's Ink It Up Challenge is open for a few more days as well.

FIRST CHALLENGE at MidWeek Magnolias

Today brings us the first EVA MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge!!!!! 

How excited am I !?!>!

OMGOSH! 

I was so happy when Anne e-mailed me, asking if I'd be part of the Midweek Magnolias Team! 

Of course I would! 

No doubt about it! 

 

The theme for our first EVA challenge is:

HELLO

Basically anything that has a greeting on your creation will do! 

Magnolia Sweden is offering up a mystery prize to the random winner! 

We also offer you a chance to be a Magnolia Marvel, hand selected by the host of this challenge. 

NOTE: you can only combine our challenge with 4 others.

Yup, it's a Christmas card! With Edwin! I sooooooo love this stamp! Edwin, as I've always said, does not get enough love! Truth be told, I think I gots kinda a crush on him! LOL 

You probly can't tell from the first coupla pics but the paper behind the snowflakes there is glitter gold (you can see a piece of it in the last picture). Also, the cream colored snowflakes are from glittery paper too. Ribbons are a mix of misc, Really Reasonable Ribbons and The Ribbon Carousel. I added some gold stickles, red stickles and clear stickles as well as liquid applique to the snowflakes. 

From our house to yours............we hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

My oh My has it been a while since I posted over here! 

YIKES!! 

I'm so happy cuz..............

.....................I've made a Tilda Card, I've made a Tilda Card! YAHOO!! 

Seeing all the Christmas Challenges got me in the spirit! 

ThANk YoU BloGLanD!!!! 

My wee Tilda is colored ALL with copics.......... for the life of me I can't find the name of her anywhere's.....I've searched high & low over at Magnolialicious Store and NADA.....ZIP.....

Anywho, I thought she would look good in a winter wonderland scene. 

Papers are misc & websters pages.....the large blue blingy snowflake is from my sisters house last year. I walked into her house and IMMEDIATELY had to have all these large snowflakes she had hanging around. She gave me a bunch.....this is the only one I could find! Bwahhaha! Hey, it was last year, give me a break! LOL Ribbons are Really Reasonable ribbons & The Ribbon Carousel. 

 I added prisma glitter to her jacket and liquid applique as snow in the air and at her feet. And apparently I am really into adding the crackle paint around images.....so there you have it! Are you chilled!?!

Feel Better!

Wow, have I been MIA hey!? Except for my "Paralyzed Puppy" updates that is! 

BTW- for those of you following (the first two posts are HERE & HERE at MY blog) we are off to specialist appointment #2 today. We have found that she has a bit more strength in her back legs, after assisting her to a standing position that is. We still have our 'paws' crossed over here. 

Perhaps that is prompted me to make a feel better card.

Ok, so the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog has an amazing blog hop going on for the next few days & after I hopped I realized I should probly get my Magnolia stamps to some ink and take part in the challenge to create a get well/feel better card. 

First off I have used Mini Tilda & the Exclusive Doctor Edwin in Mini form both of which I purchased at the Magnolialicious Store. Here is the link to Nurse Tilda (reg size) currently sold out of, due to the aforementioned AWESOME BLOG HOP- and I can't seem to find the MINI link anywhere. Sorry. The sentiment is from SU & ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons. 

Do U know how small these MINI stamps are.......OMG! I was blown away! I thought how am I going to color these......but all is well with the few copics I have. I distressed the Magnolia tag with BravoBurgundy from SU.

A Christmas Decoration at Totally Tilda!

It's Christmas In July over at the Totally Tilda  challenge (and all over blogland it seems- lol ) & we want to see Tilda

ON A CHRISTMAS DECORATION

I have created a hanging CD ornament. I first saw the recycling of a CD over at the Crafty Pad Challenge a long time ago & after making a creation for that challenge I thought how awesome a CD would be to re-produce into a Christmas decoration.

I have put the same Tilda on both sides but switched around the colors to match the papers. One side is red with a green Tilda dress and the other side of the CD is green with a red Tilda dress!

How fun was this really?

Time to Alter Something

It's pointing at me, taking a picture of my lunchpail! LOL

Busted. Thank gawd you can't see what I'm wearing! BWwhahah!

There are a coupla challenges that inticed me to alter a lunch pail ......albeit at 5.5" X 4.25" lunchpail....it is still a lunchpail.

When I saw this at WalMart, I simply could not pass up buying it as a teacher gift for one of my daughters teachers. Of course I had to dress it up a bit, right.

I used some of my school theme scrapbooking stickers, ribbon & papers.

And the front of the lunchpail. Using my new Rocking Tilda, whom I am TOTALLY in love with; I paired her with Tilda with Lace Jeans who appears to be siting on a stack of books cheering on her friend. hee hee.

There are more of my school themed papers as well. Yellow lined paper (which apparently the dog got a hold of-haha), corkboard paper, green number papers & the blue spiral ring paper.

Don't forget about that apple charm.

I put an apple & some Partylite candles inside as a gift.

The upper part of the lid is for my daughter to write her teacher a little note of thanks.

I stuck a little school scrapbook sticker  in there for fun too!

I am going to have to start the other one now, for her other teacher.

I hope I have inspired you to try something new today.
